Examples of deep technologies include advanced materials, artificial intelligence, blockchain, biotechnology, drones and robotics, photonics and electronics, and quantum computing.
Disruptive deep technologies require considerable development time. Overall, deep technologies have a strong research base that requires large investments and challenging business models.
